Director, writer and performance artist Miranda July talks with host Marcia Franklin about her life and work. The conversation was filmed at the Church of the Big Wood in Ketchum, as part of an event sponsored by the Sun Valley Center for the Arts. July discusses the inspirations for her work, her creative process, and how becoming a mother has changed her.

Miranda July wrote, directed and starred in the film "Me and You and Everyone We Know," which won a special jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival and the Caméra d’Or prize at the Cannes Film Festival. July’s novel, "The First Bad Man," was a New York Times bestseller, and her collection of short stories, "No One Belongs Here More Than You," won the Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award. July is also known for her performance pieces.
